Just not feeling too hot. Anyone wants Ierne's weather, poke at me. I'll probably run Fern's flight and things when we move to the new DB and get myself back into the swing of RP.

Well, I'm moved in. Not too bad. AC's not entirely alive, but thankfully, I am small and shunt excess heat like mad. ;) Small surface area!
Phone is charging, cellphone functioning, but off. I'm mostly loving on my ethernet. Shiny. Fast. Gooooooood. Gotta get all my MUSH worlds back, though. Ah well.
Roomie is total party girl, and there's lots of phone calls and social visits, but this I can live with. No passive aggression=Good. I'm afraid I've totally weirded her out, though. Leaving out my Werewolf sourcebook, AvP game, and Vampire Hunter DVD has probably left the impression I'm going to suck her blood or something. ;)
I'm also a total nerdnik, apparently. I didn't care to go to the Midnight Rodeo (Late, loud, booze. Not for moi.), and she insists that I go out and party. Meh. I'm sort of not warmed up on the whole idea. Getting rather thirsty, though, since dinner was a hit or run affair (Only half an hour to get it and eat! Aie!).
All in all? I'm doing quite well in my new home, though I feel an awful lot like a transplanted plant. See, my university is renown for parties and... I don't do parties.

09:38 pm - Really Morbid Thought of the Day.
Cell division is very risky. Things are lost, forgotten, added, 'mistyped', among other things. Telomeres wind down, and things get in that shouldn't. Parts are lost, or misplaced, or forgotten. Each cell only divides so many times. Each time a cell divides, it brings us a little closer to the end.
...So, are we dieing to live, or living to die?

I've gotta reply to your guys' comments, but right now I'm sifting through what software and stuff I'm hauling off with me. Still putting off cleaning. *whistles* And trying to find lunch. And that damned box. And wondering where my plushie jellyfish got off to. Normally, my stuffed cnidarian sits atop the PC, but he seems to have wandered off. It's just not the same without him.

Yeah. Been busy. All my attempts at packing wind up with me going through all my junk and going, I remember this. Or, Ooooo, journal. Gads, I'm lame. I think, according to my future roommate, I am one of Them. See, she called while I was out at the library, and I called back...
She goes "Hee, you were at the library."
And I'm like... "I was." *silence*
"...Really?"
"Yup." *moresilence*
Our thoughts: Dear God, what have we done?
"That's... neat."
"Yeah."
I think we're both going to wind up meeting each other, and it's going to be a lot like When Worlds Collide or something. She's sweet, but uh, I think I really, and truly have become one of Them. Y'know, Them.

I'm far too amused this evening. It's probably the drugs. I blame the drugs. Only 5 days till the big move. Hopefully, I can get this all done in a day or so. Then again, it'll be a couple of days before I'm all settled in. Classes start up the 25th. I'm, unsurprisingly, turning into a gigantic flakazoid. I'm used to moving every 3-4 years, so this is a good thing, since I was feeling restless.
Also, the random search feature of LJ is a journey into Lovecraftian levels of insanity, and has shown me horrors that would surely drive any lesser human mad. There are a surprising number of Russian LJs.
The moral of the story is: There is no God, but there is God slash.

I really need to post something meaningful, but I always seem to toss my thoughts aside at the last moment. I've also come to the following realizations:
1) I look like a drowned rat on my student ID.
2) The light on the aforementioned student ID makes me look like I'm going to shoot a laser out of one eye. C'mon. At least get both.
3) Any bank account with the payable upon death/transfers to relatives doohickey is probably a darn good reason to bump me off. Must refrain from eating first at family gatherings.
4) Laptop in a few days, woo!

Just when I thought I had the damn thing working, the display apparently decides to putz out. I hear it starting up, and all the usual windows noises, but the display? Black as sin. I'm gonna post to the Dell tech support forums before calling, but Christ on a cracker... Anyhow, here's the musical.
